September 14th 2010 Lecture for the Wellington Garden Club
Hardscapes in the Landscapes – Bill Reeve will discuss the roll that hardscape design and selection plays in the overall plan of a residential project. He will review the most commonly used hardscape elements such as swimming pools, patios/walkways, water features, arbors/trellises and art in the landscape. Understanding the order of design and the impact of each hardscape design decision and its relationship with the landscape will be the main focus of this lecture.

Botanical Visions, Inc. recieves the Landscape Excellence Award for 2010
The city of Boca Raton just awarded Botanical Visions, Inc. with the Landscape Excellence Award for 2010 for the 595 Financial Center in the Large Commercial Division. Botanical Visions’ Jorge Anez was present to receive the Award from City Mayor Susan Whelchel. Botanical Visions thanks Charles Shane with GLL BVK Properties LP for the opportunity to work with him the past years and the trust he gives us to oversee his projects.

Lecture: Right Plant-Right Place
Bill Reeve will be giving a lecture on “Right Plant-Right Place” for the Pompano Garden Club on Monday, April 12th at Noon. He will be discussing the importance of recognizing Micro-climates within the landscape design. You will learn how to identify various abiotic factors such as high wind, salt, low light and dry/wet within these micro-climates.

Bill Reeve will be giving a lecture on Florida friendly/native landscapes for the Broward County Extension on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 7:00pm. A Powerpoint presentation will be given detailing projects in South Florida over the past 26 years.

Lecture: 2010 FFGC Tropical Short Course
On Tuesday January 26th from 6:30 until 8:30 PM Bill Reeve and CJ Bowden will be giving a lecture, power point presentation and illumination demonstration at the Mounts Botanical gardens for the 2010 FFGC Tropical Short Course. Bill and CJ will be discussing the art of landscape and architectural lighting. Illuminating water, structures as well as the many different types of tropical plants will be shown both in the lecture as well as the demonstration on the Mounts grounds.
